Prophet Suleiman (peace be upon him), known as Solomon in Western traditions, stands as one of the most awe-inspiring figures in religious history. The Unparalleled Gift: Dominion Over Creation

The Language of Animals
One of his most beautiful gifts was the ability to understand and speak with animals. This allowed him to communicate with birds, ants, and other creatures, gaining insights and even issuing commands. The Quran narrates an instance where he overheard an ant warning its colony to take cover to avoid being trampled by his approaching army, causing Suleiman to smile in wonder and gratitude.
Commanding the Wind
Another astounding power was his control over the wind. At his command, the wind would carry his throne, his army, and all his provisions, transporting them vast distances in a single morning or evening. This served as a rapid means of travel, symbolizing his immense authority and the divine support he received.
The Mighty Jinn at His Service
Perhaps the most extraordinary aspect of Suleiman’s reign was his absolute control over the jinn. These unseen beings, made of smokeless fire, were compelled by Allah’s decree to obey him. A humble hoopoe bird brought him news of a powerful queen ruling a prosperous nation that worshipped the sun. Suleiman, ever devoted to monotheism, sent the hoopoe with a letter inviting her to submit to the One God.
The Queen, intrigued and perhaps wary, sent lavish gifts, which Suleiman politely declined, emphasizing his spiritual mission. He then challenged his court to bring her throne to him before she arrived. A powerful jinn offered to do it in the blink of an eye, but one who had knowledge of the Scripture brought it even faster. Witnessing this incredible feat and Suleiman’s unwavering faith, the Queen of Sheba recognized the truth and embraced monotheism.
